Jason A. Tillema

SRA, AI-RRS

After graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Entrepreneurship in 1997, Jason joined Tillema & Associates as a trainee to begin his career. He has concentrated primarily on residential valuations and has performed assignments ranging from simple home equity to complex litigation assignments. Since approximately 2006, he has served in several volunteer roles within the appraisal and real estate industry.

Due in large part to the volunteer service within our industry, Jason has been requested to develop several seminars and discussion panels. He has become more involved in the instructor role over the past several years due to these opportunities and looks forward to providing relevant courses and seminars through Education Resources.

Jason has enjoyed serving the local real estate community. After serving and chairing several committees within the Appraisal Institute, he was elected as the Secretary/Treasurer for 2012. He subsequently served as the Vice President in 2013 and as the HSC President in 2014. Not only has he served in the appraisal industry but also within our local REALTOR® organization, from 2014 through 2016 Jason was the Appraiser Representative on the MIBOR Board of Directors. His experience and participation within these organizations and associated committees has provided an opportunity to better understand the many intricacies of our profession.
